INTER+VALUE is delighted to invite you to the Salle Gauguin in Bruz (opposite the Le Grand Logis cultural centre) to discover this exhibition of photographs and album produced as part of the Confluences & Frontiers project. This project highlights local cultures and heritages, resulting from the diverse influences of the past and present around the borders that have shaped them.

The Trás-os-Montes region, "Beyond the mounts" in English, is located in north-east Portugal, along the border with Spain (Galicia to the north and León to the east). It is a region of mountains, high plateaux and valleys, home to a multitude of villages.

In the 1980s, photographer Eduardo Perez Sanchez visited the region on several occasions, taking pictures of its inhabitants and their environment.
