Who we are (ES)

We are a non-profit NGO made up of enthusiasts, developers and experts in intercultural exchanges and international cooperation and solidarity in the cultural, educational, environmental and social fields.

INTER+VALUE's objectives in these areas are to:

enhance the expertise of its members;
carry out or support actions and projects;
raise awareness of the importance of intercultural exchange and actively promote it;
support research and development of partnerships;
offer, run or contribute to training courses;
organise friendly and festive events that highlight and promote cooperation, solidarity and intercultural exchanges.

Through its objectives, INTER+VALUE upholds and promotes humanistic ideals and values that are the backbone of any inclusive and supportive society.

This is why the association seeks to work within the framework and development of:

volunteering and civic engagement;
cooperation and solidarity between individuals and between regions;
knowledge and acceptance of difference, equality and social inclusion;
lifelong education;
recognition and promotion of the diversity of languages, cultures and heritages;
the individual right to physical and mental health;
the duty to protect the environment and address the planet's future challenges, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations (UN).

INTER+VALUE upholds the values of the French Republic, the European Union and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

>>> Why this name?

> First, there's INTER as in intercultural, international, intergenerational, interdisciplinary... In short, all the constructive and meaningful “INTERs” that lie at the heart of the association.

INTER+VALUE / INTERPLUSVALUE

> Then, + stands for the extra impact that each action or project brings to our members and all those involved or affected; and for the something more we aim to contribute to each one.

Note: the use of the + sign is a nod to the Erasmus+ programme, which inspired and funded the association’s first projects.

> Finally, VALUE clearly highlights the objective of adding value to actions and projects, as well as cultural, educational, individual, heritage or territorial appreciation...

Note: the last two letters of INTER+VALUE <UE> are a nod to the European Union (Union Européenne in French), the reference, objective and source of funding for the association's key projects.
