08/10/24 • Inauguration of the Chinese Garden in the Maurepas Park in Rennes

On Tuesday 8 October, the Chinese Garden in Maurepas Park (Rennes) was officially inaugurated in the presence of Nathalie Appéré, Mayor of Rennes, and a large Chinese delegation led by the 1st Secretary of the Communist Party and the Deputy Mayor of Jinan.

Among those present were Blaise Thierrée, Director of the Confucius Institute (Institut Confusus) in Rennes - who provided the Chinese translation of Ms Appéré's speech - Philippe Échard, President of the Rennes-Jinan Twinning Committee, as well as an excellent group of Chinese musicians playing traditional music and many visitors and journalists.
